Sierpinski's triangle : the nave of the roman basilica of Santa Maria in Comesdin

The church is localicated in Rome and had been built in the 7th century. It is of byzantine style.

This basilica owns many floors of cosmati style. The cosmati style is an old artistic kind which composed with Sierpinski’s triangle but it is older than 9 centuries. The Sierpinski's triangle is used differently to made some paterns.

We can see that mosaics stand for many things like infinity, a quilt and repetitve paterns.
