The National museum of scotland

During our trip in Scotland, we've made a very interesting visit at the national museum.

The national museum contains 20 000 objects , 26 galleries and a library.

There is also a lively programme of events and specials exhibitions.

But in fact a world of discovery awaits you on 3rd floors where are exposed the 5 theme of the museum : -Natural world

-Worlds culture

-Art and design

-Science and technology

-Scotland

Floors are divided in sections who deal with the 5 theme but sections can be in several floors.

The animal section is represented at every floor but at the first one you can mostly see african , asian ,and more generally, prehistoric annimals.The second floor show flying animals or insects. And the third one is composed by european animals and different type of fishes.

The cultural section are also on every floor. The first floor is devoted to the north american and african peoples. In the second one you can see cultures of australian people , and more generally, cultures of peoples who live near the sea. Finally , on the third floor , you can learn every single european cultures.

But there are special sections as the science one; represented on the 1st floor who is composes by the astronomy , math and industry/technology compartments. The mask and the natural disasters section are only on the 2nd floor. Here , you can see mask from ancient time who came from all over the world ( italia, china , africa). Moreover you can know how natural disasters are caused. And at the 3rd floor , there is an art section with sculputres and arts from every country of the world.

We really enjoyed the museum with his deversity of themes and sections. It was very interesting to watch all these things. Furthermore , we've never seen before a museum with such a variety of objects. We had a good time there and learnt lots of things.
